Sheriff DiBasilio Welcomes New Deputies, San Andreas From Field Training Program to Active Duty:
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office proudly announces the addition of four new deputies to its ranks, set to begin their roles in active patrol duties. These new deputies successfully completed an intensive Law Enforcement Academy at San Joaquin Delta College. This rigorous program ensures that each officer is thoroughly equipped with the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to serve the Calaveras County community.
Following their academy graduation, the deputies underwent a comprehensive 16-week Field Training Program, tailored to the unique demands and challenges of Calaveras County. This program covers every facet of training essential for patrol personnel, ensuring that they are more than ready to serve and protect.
"Each of these new deputies represents our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the Calaveras community. Having completed one of the most rigorous training programs stands as a testament to their readiness to serve. We are not just adding to our numbers; we are enhancing the quality of our force." - Sheriff Rick DiBasilio.
We invite the community to join us in welcoming Deputies Falconi, Ortega, Parker, and Boscarino as they begin their journey to keep Calaveras County safe.
The department will be sponsoring a new group of recruit deputies in the next academy beginning in the beginning of March 2024.
