ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Perdomo was processed at Amsterdam Police headquarters, arraigned and released on her own recognizance to appear at a later date in Amsterdam City Court.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On October 10th Amsterdam Police took a report for fraudulent charges on a credit card. Further interview of the victim revealed that there were two unauthorized charges on their credit card account. The fraudulent charges were placed at local businesses. On October 14th Amsterdam Police took a second complaint of fraudulent charges on a separate person’s credit card. These charges also took place at a local business. A detective collected digital evidence related to the crimes and surveillance footage was secured by patrol officers. A suspect was identified as Natalie A. Perdomo. It was discovered that Perdomo was recording the credit and debit card numbers of customers while Perdomo was working at a local business and using them at several locations in the area. On October 18th 2023, the investigating detective and patrol officer located Perdomo who was then brought back to Amsterdam Police headquarters for further interview. Perdomo was subsequently arrested and then processed on the above charges.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
