The Brown County multi-jurisdictional traffic safety mission, which was coordinated to reduce intentional acts of reckless driving, resulted in 563 citations, 586 warnings, and 48 arrests.
The effort took place over the course of nine days in September. It involved Ashwaubenon Public Safety, Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Green Bay Police Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
The most notable offenses, which led to citations, warnings, and arrests, included:
Speeding:
- 108 citations
- 150 warnings
Seatbelt Violations:
Operating While Intoxicated (OWI):
Other:
- 10 warrant arrests
- 8 drug arrests
- 3 felony arrests
- 3 misdemeanor arrests
In addition, there were also violations of child restraint, operating after revocation/operating after suspension, registration, equipment, and more.
This initiative was funded with grant assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
