Police Seek Help Identifying Auto Burglary Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
 
Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of South Munn Avenue on a call of a burglary into a vehicle parked in the driveway. The victim’s wallet, containing cash, credit and debit cards, and other personal property was stolen from inside the unlocked vehicle.
 
Detectives investigating this incident observed surveillance footage of the suspect and are requesting the public’s help in quickly identifying him.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
