During the afternoon hours of October 20, 2023, members of the Simi Valley Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a probation compliance check at the residence of a 16-year-old Simi Valley resident. There, the officers located a handgun and ammunition, which resulted in the 16-year-old’s arrest. The juvenile, who is not a student at any of the local Simi Valley High Schools, was taken to Juvenile Hall where he was booked.
