Beginning Monday, October 23, 2023, the Borough of Carlstadt will be implementing new procedures to obtain an Overnight / Resident Parking Permit. Permits will no longer be issued by the Borough Clerk’s Office, they will be issued by the Police Department. To obtain a permit, please follow these instructions.
 
 

1. Go to www.CarlstadtPolice.org/
2. Click Residential Parking in the Permits dropdown.
3. Read and follow the instructions to bring you to the application.
4. Complete the form.
5. Upload the necessary documents.
   1. Driver’s License
   2. Vehicle Registration
   3. Vehicle Insurance
   4. If above is not in a Carlstadt address, then Proof of Residence

 
Residents with current permits will need to go online to validate their information. Documents will need to be resubmitted.

Permits need to be updated YEARLY. Those permits not updated will be VOIDED.
