Police Information / Update regarding suspicious incident that occurred last Saturday, 10/21/23
The Cranbury Township Police Department wishes to alert the public about an incident that occurred on Saturday evening involving juvenile residents and a suspicious male / vehicle. At approximately 1815 hours on 10/21/23 a suspicious incident was reported to have occurred in the area of the Cranbury School and Town Hall where two (2) juvenile females had been walking. It was reported that a dark-colored sedan pulled towards them, parked and that an older male wearing dark clothing exited from vehicle. The involved juveniles became scared and ran to a nearby business. Approximately fifteen minutes later, as the two were walking home through the Presbyterian Cemetery, a dark-colored sedan is reported to have pulled into cemetery parking lot. The females again became scared and ran home. The male driver reportedly never said anything to the two juveniles. Police Detectives investigated the matter. Surveillance video from the involved area was obtained and reviewed. The pictured male was identified and interviewed. Nothing suspicious was deemed to have occurred and the matter is closed. The Police Department wishes to remind residents that all such matters are considered serious and thoroughly followed-up with until proven otherwise. We continue to encourage residents to always remain vigilant and to immediately report all suspicious activity to the Police Department.
