Vehicle Traffic Collision with injury and property damage

On October 23, 2023, at approximately 4:11 PM, Arroyo Grande Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of E. Grande Ave. regarding a two-vehicle collision. Officers were also informed that one of the involved vehicles had struck a building.
Upon Officers arrival, one vehicle with an injured driver was located at the entrance to the Arroyo Town and Country Square Shopping Center. The second involved vehicle was found to have collided with the Tribe Coffeehouse’s front patio area and the Blue Seafood and Grill building.
Both drivers were attended to by emergency medical staff resulting in one driver being transported to the hospital. The second driver was evaluated and declined medical transport. Intoxication is not believed to be an associated factor and this investigation is ongoing.
