* At 429 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Sweetwater, Camp Boothe Oaks, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 608 And Highway 147 and Lake Sweetwater. This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 241 and 253. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... IH 20 frontage roads crossing Sweetwater Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Bitter Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Plum Creek, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Towd Creek, County Road 143 crossing Idlewild Creek, crossings along County Road 226, County Road 108 crossing Kldoogan Creek, County Road 229 crossing Cottonwood Creek and County Road 145 crossing Sweetwater Creek.
