The Santa Maria Police Department alongside Fighting Back Santa Maria Maria Valley will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this October 28, 2023, from 10am-2pm at the Santa Maria Police Department (1111 W. Betteravia Road).

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That can be dangerous and often tragic. As a result, this event is a great opportunity to provide thousands of folks from across the country a opportunity to clean out their medicine cabinets and turn them in - safely and anonymously.

This week leading up to the event, check your medicine cabinets and bring in all your expired or unused prescriptions so we can dispose of it properly.
