Flash Flood Warning until 06:00AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Collin County... Eastern Dallas County...

* Until 600 AM CDT.

* At 140 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Dallas, Plano, Garland, Mesquite, McKinney, Frisco, Richardson, Allen, Rowlett, Desoto, Wylie, Lancaster, Farmers Branch, Balch Springs, University Park, Sachse, Addison, Highland Park, Murphy and Prosper.
