Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 10/25/2023 at approximately 4:58 P.m. his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection of Union Rd and Mt. Zion in Calvin Township, Cass County Michigan.

Investigation shows that 48-year-old Vandalia resident, Jason Reichel, was going north on Union Rd when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the roadway. Ambulence personel took Reichel to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Reichel was wearing his seatbelt. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
