INCIDENT: Sowing Good Deeds Award
SUMMARY:
For the past 24 years, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Rodeo Committee has provided the community with a rodeo that has grown and become an exceptional family-friendly event. They have given local charities over one million dollars. The committee would like to express it's sincere appreciation for the incredible support they've received from the community and sponsors, making the event a resounding success.
This year, the committee submitted an entry for the Sowing Good Deeds Award, graciously offered by Hesston by Massey Ferguson.
This award recognizes Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeos that positively impacts local, regional, and national charities while emphasizing community impact, innovation, and resilience.
The Sheriff's Rodeo Committee is excited to announce that they have been named one of the five finalists. This award highlights their commitment to charitable endeavors that benefit local agricultural communities.
Sheriff Shannon Dicus stated, "I am extremely proud of the men and women on the committee who volunteer every year to put on a successful event, all in the name of charity." Regardless of the outcome, Sheriff Dicus wants the rodeo committee to know they will be champions of our community for their charitable contributions.
The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at the PRCA Awards Banquet in Las Vegas on December 6, 2023, with the grand prize being a Massey Ferguson tractor.
