INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: 25496 Baseline Street, Highland
SUSPECT(S): Roberto Delgado, 35-year-old Resident of Redlands
VICTIM(S): Gabriel Torres Jimenez, 47-year-old Highland Resident
*********************************************************************************UPDATE: Through continued investigation, Homicide detectives identified the suspect as 35-year-old Roberto Delgado and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On Thursday, October 26, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies from the Specialized Enforcement Division located Delgado at his residence in Redlands and took him into custody. Delgado was booked in at the West Valley Detention Center.

SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at approximately 12:02 a.m., deputies from the Highland Police Department responded to a business at 25496 Baseline Street, for a report of gunshots heard and a possible gunshot victim. Upon arrival, deputies located Gabriel Torres Jimenez suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded to conduct the investigation. The suspect has not been located. The investigation is ongoing and additional information will be released when available.
