The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 3 AM Sunday to 10 PM PDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...The Kern County mountains.
* WIND...The strongest winds are expected Sunday afternoon, with sustained northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph, with frequent gusts near 40 mph.
* HUMIDITY...Minimum relative humidity values of 10 to 15 percent both Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: LAKE ISABELLA ... TEHACHAPI AREA ... FORT TEJON

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
