El Cerrito Police Department crime blotter from October 15th to 21s

The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.
October 15th
Auto Burglary – 6000 block of Cypress Ave.
At 6:30 AM a suspect shattered the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole items.   
Attempted Stolen Vehicle – 6400 block of Waldo Ave.
At 10:00 AM the victim noticed the rear driver side window was shattered and the steering column was damaged.
Grand Theft – 1600 block of Arlington Blvd.
At 4:43 PM the victim reported approximately 50 ft of copper wire was stolen between October 11th at 5PM to October 15th at 12:00PM
October 16th
Residential Burglary/Petty Theft – 2100 block of Pinehurst Ct.
Sometime between October 15th at 11 PM to October 16th at 8 AM, the suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle, stole items and opened the victims garage door with the garage door opener. The suspect entered the garage and stole a custom bike. 
Stolen Vehicle/Warrant- San Pablo Ave/ Potrero Ave.
At 7:19 PM an officer received a Flock notification (Automated License Plate Reader camera) for a stolen vehicle. Officers circulated the area and located the stolen vehicle occupied. Officers conducted an enforcement stop and took the driver into custody. During a records check, it was discovered the driver had an outstanding warrant. After booking the driver was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Auto Burglary- 7600 Block of Stockton Ave.
At 9:18 PM an officer reports an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole property.
Auto Burglary- 3300 Block of Santa Clara Ave.
At 12:30 AM an officer reported two suspects broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole property.
Stolen Vehicle- 11200 Block of San Pablo Ave.
At 7:19 PM an officer reports a suspect stole the victims vehicle.
Stolen Vehicle- 1400 Block of Arlington Blvd.
At 10:02 PM an officer reports a suspect stole the victim’s vehicle.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle- 900 Block of Pomona Ave.
At 11:34 PM, a San Pablo PD officer pursued a stolen vehicle into El Cerrito but terminated the pursuit after the speeds reached over 100MPH. ECPD officers circulated the area and located the vehicle unoccupied and recovered it.
October 17th
Commercial Burglary – El Mono Restaurant 11720 San Pablo Ave.
At 5:42AM officers responded to a burglary alarm at the business and noticed the front door was pried open. No one was located inside, and the cash register was stolen. 
Commercial Burglary – Los Moles Restaurant 6120 Potrero Ave.
At 6:01AM a reporting party saw the front glass door shattered to the business.  Four suspects were seen fleeing from inside the business and fled in a dark-colored vehicle.  Several bottles of alcohol were stolen. 
Commercial Burglary – Launderland 11785 San Pablo Ave.
At 8:29AM the owner reports that the front door the business was pried open.  The suspects damaged the coin dispenser and stole the coins ATM kiosk that contained cash.
Commercial Burglary – Frannie Express Hawaiian BBQ 11775 San Pablo Ave
At 9:01AM the owner reported that the front door was pried open, and the suspects stole cash from the register. 
Identity Theft – 5200 block of Gordon Ave.
At 10:49AM the victim reports an unknown suspect withdrew money from his account.  A fraudulent check was also made with the victims account number and deposited in another account.    
Shoplifting/Warrant Arrest – Footlocker 430 El Cerrito Plaza
At 2:56PM officers arrested a subject after he was placed under citizen’s arrest for stealing shoes, and had a warrant for theft out of Fairfield PD.  The subject was booked police station and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. 
DUI Arrest – 1100 block of Liberty St.
At 2:57PM officers arrested a subject for driving while under the influence of alcohol.  The subject was booked at the police station and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.   
DUI – Fairmount Ave / San Pablo Ave.
At 12:17AM, officers conducted a suspicious vehicle check of a car running and partially blocking the roadway.  The driver was asleep in the driver’s seat and admitted to consuming alcohol.  The driver was arrested and later cited out to a friend at ECPD.
October 18th
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Portola Dr and San Pablo Ave.
At 7:17AM an officer arrested a subject for possession of drug paraphernalia.  The subject was released on a citation.   
Vandalism – 800 Block of Seaview Dr.
At 7:38AM an officer reported that six vehicles had their rear drivers’ side windows broken out. 
Vandalism – 400 block of Clayton Ave.
At 9:07AM the victim reports their vehicle's windows were shattered. 
Vandalism – 700 block of Richmond St.
At 9:29PM the victim reported that the rear window of his vehicle had been shattered. 
Vandalism – 900 block of Elm St
At 9:38PM the victim reports that a window to their vehicle was shattered.
Trespassing Arrest – Denny’s 11344 San Pablo Ave 
At 1PM an unwanted subject returned and refused to leave.  The subject was arrested but transported to the hospital for an unknown medical condition.     
Aggravated Battery / Criminal Threats – 5800 Block of Alta Punta Ave.
At 1:54AM, officers were dispatched to a reported battery.  The suspect was arrested after threatening to kill his brother and then assaulting him.  The suspect was later transported to the county jail in Martinez.
Assault / Battery – 11700 Block of San Pablo Ave.
At 2:47AM, officers were dispatched to a reported sexual battery.  During the investigation, it was determined a verbal argument took place between a husband and wife.  During the argument, the husband attempted to punch the wife but missed.  The husband pushed a shopping cart at a male friend of the wife, striking him.  The subject was placed under citizen’s arrest, transported back to ECPD, and later released on a citation.
Warrant Arrest – 10900 San Pablo Ave.
At 3:20AM, officers were flagged down in the parking lot of the police department.  The subject had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.  The subject was released on a citation.
October 19th
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 10650 San Pablo Ave.
At 2:38AM, officers located an unoccupied stolen vehicle reported to Vallejo PD.  The vehicle was recovered and towed.
October 20th
Vehicle Theft – 5800 block of Avila St:
A 2013 white Kia Optima was stolen between 12:00 on 10/15 and 7:00 PM on 10/19.
Robbery – 11299 San Pablo Ave (Gina Beauty 4 U):
At 12:23 PM, two female teens stole wigs.  When the business owner tried to take the wigs as the teens walked toward the door, both suspects yanked the wigs from her hands.
Vandalism – 10566 San Pablo Ave (Yaoyasan):
An unidentified suspect shattered the window of the victim’s vehicle while the victim was in the store shopping, sometime between 3:00-3:45 PM.
October 21st
Vehicle Theft – 5800 block of Central Ave:
A 2003 GMC Yukon was stolen sometime between noon on 10/20 and 6:00 AM on 10/21. 
Robbery – Ohlone Greenway / Eureka Ave:
At 1:12 PM, a woman was robbed of cash by use of a simulated weapon.
Warrant Arrest – 800 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 1:21 PM, an officer reports the arrest of a man on four arrest warrants to county jail.
Vandalism- 8700 Block of Don Carol Dr:
At 9:04 PM, an officer reported unknown suspects threw rocks and eggs at the victim’s house.
Battery- 9937 San Pablo Ave. (Lama Bar):
At 1:55 AM, an officer was flagged down by the victim who stated an employee of the business pushed him.
