RED FLAG WARNING Saturday 10/28 through Sunday 10/29 at 5:00pm. 

The National Weather Service has declared a Red Flag Fire Weather Warning beginning today through Sunday night.  This means that critical fire weather conditions will be occurring, including strong, gusty off shore winds, low humidity values and very dry vegetation.  These conditions can cause new fire starts to grow rapidly, causing hazardous conditions and potentially extreme fire behavior.

Residents should take precautions and consider the following:

• Avoid mowing or using equipment around dry grass; 
• Do not park vehicles on or drive vehicles through dry grass; 
• Avoid having any outside fires;
• Report suspicious activity; and
• Be aware of and report vertical columns of smoke in the area, which are different from the drift smoke from other fires that we have had in our area in the past.
