FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FOR VERMILION COUNTY FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM TUESDAY MORNING.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a FREEZE WARNING that includes Vermilion County, from 9PM this evening until 9AM Tuesday morning. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 24 degrees are expected. Frost and freeze conditios will kill sensative vegetation and possibly damage unproteected outdoor plumbing.
Instructions:
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
