Halloween is here and the Denville Police Department wants to make sure that you enjoy the festivities safely. Please follow these safety tips to ensure everyone’s safety.

• Remain on well-lit streets and use sidewalks when possible.
• Carry a flashlight or use reflective tape on costumes.
• Cross at street corners and never cross alone.
• Put phones away and be alert for cars (especially backing out of driveways)

Additionally, be aware of slippery leaves that cover the roadway and sidewalks.

In order to keep our children safe from any suspicious candy, please check all the candy that your children receive. Any candy that is open or looks suspicious, please discard it.
