INDIANAPOLIS- IMPD arrested 25-year-old Donnyha Tyler on Monday October 30,2023, for her alleged role in the murder of 32-year-old Tommy Brock Jr. in the 1700 block of E. Pleasant Run Pkwy N. Drive.
On Thursday, October 19, 2023, just before 12:00 a.m., IMPD Southeast District officers responded to a report of a personal injury accident involving a pedestrian struck in the 1700 block of E. Pleasant Run Pkwy N. Drive. Officers arrived and located Tommy Brock with trauma, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
IMPD homicide and certified accident detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stay on the scene and fled prior to officers arriving.
Detectives continued to investigate and, based upon various evidence including cooperative witnesses, were able to identify Donnyha Tyler as the alleged suspect. On October 30, 2023, through various investigative techniques, IMPD detectives along with the IMPD's Violent Crime Unit, located Tyler in the 2800 block of North LaSalle Street. Tyler was taken into custody, transported to the homicide office for an interview and subsequently arrested for murder.
A charge and arrest are merely an accusation. The suspect should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
