Trick-or-treating is scheduled from 3 pm to 9 pm today as per Borough Ordinance. A curfew for individuals under 18 will be enforced at 8:30 p.m.

Here are some essential safety tips for this Halloween:
1. Instruct children not to consume any candy until it has been inspected at home by a parent or guardian.
2. Choose familiar neighborhoods for trick-or-treating and avoid entering strangers' homes.
3. Always accompany young children while trick-or-treating and plan a safe route in well-lit areas.
4. Ensure costumes fit well and don't hinder vision or movement to prevent accidents. Avoid long, trailing costumes and accessories that could cause trips or tangles.
5. Keep paths and stairways well-lit during Halloween parties and gatherings to prevent accidents. Use flameless candles or battery-operated lights for decorations to avoid fire hazards.
6. Motorists, please be cautious of increased pedestrian traffic, especially in residential neighborhoods.
7. To prevent your pets from getting scared or agitated, keep them indoors during Halloween festivities.
