The Simi Valley Police Department launched an investigation and discovered that a Los Angeles based company is sending representative to the City. These representatives are engaging in door-to-door sales, offering HVAC and water treatment systems to the public. While they do not specifically claim to be affiliated with Simi Valley, their sales pitch can mislead residents by requesting to enter homes for the purpose of inspecting “the city water system for contaminates and toxins”. They will attempt to do this in a rapid, convincing manner, designed to create a false concern about the safety of the City’s drinking water.

Please understand that the City of Simi Valley is not associated with this company and would not endorse such business practices. Furthermore, there are no issues with the City’s water supply.  If you are contacted by any of these individuals you should ask for identification and their true intent. If you feel that these individuals are acting inappropriately or illegally immediately end the contact and notify the Simi Valley Police Department.
