Lt. Detective Chris Taylor with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 39-year-old Joseph Paul Gilliland with felonious Trafficking Methamphetamine, felonious Possession of Methamphetamine and felonious Maintaining a Dwelling for a Controlled Substance. Gilliland was issued a 75,000 secured bond.
Gilliland was previously charged, on September 29th, with marijuana related charges. Other substances were sent to the State Crime Lab for analysis and the results determined them to be 90 grams of methamphetamine.
