Empty Shabbat Table Display, Friday 11/3 - Sunday 11/5
The Borough joins Central New Jersey Stands with Israel to invite you to visit the Empty Shabbat Table display, set for the 239 hostages held by Hamas, at 148 Raritan Avenue (the former Sunoco property). The installation will be in place from Friday, 11/3 through Sunday, 11/5. A short program will be held on Friday, 11/3 from 4-4:30 PM, including the singing of Shabbat songs.
 
Medicare & You Understanding - Your Medicare Choices, Monday 11/13
Are you confused by your choices for Medicare? Join Nicole Huff, Social Worker at 1:15 p.m. at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue to discuss Medicare Part A - D.

Veterans Day Parade, Saturday 11/11
We encourage you to come out to Raritan Avenue to honor our veterans at the annual Veterans Day Parade starting at 11:00 a.m. The parade starts at the Doughboy monument at 6th and Raritan Avenues in Highland Park and will proceed from there into New Brunswick to the monument on George Street and Livingston Avenue.
 
Night Owl Holiday Market, Sunday 11/12, Saturday 11/25, Sunday 11/26
Make a dent in your holiday shopping list at one of Main Street Highland Park's upcoming Night Owl Holiday Markets at the Welkovits Pavilion, 212 Raritan Avenue. The market features many locally-based artists, artisans, and crafters that make and sell their own unique goods.

Free Groceries from H.P. Gives a Hoot, Tuesdays 11/7, 11/14, 11/21 & 11/28 & Wednesdays 11/8, 11/15, 11/22 & 11/29   
Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support.  Distributions are held every Tuesday & Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
 
Food Pantry Distribution, Thursday 11/9, Tuesday 11/21 & Saturday 11/11 & 11/25
The Highland Park food pantry distribution will take place at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue. Visit the Borough website for additional dates. For more information contact Nicole Huff at (732) 819-0052.

Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult and youth programs. Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the Borough.  

Raices Cultural Center Programming at the Environmental Center
Online registration is open for Raices Cultural Center's fall introductory classes on Bomba Dance, Afro-Cuban Dance and Drumming. Classes take place at the Eugene M. Young Environmental Center at 20 River Road. For more information, email [email protected] or call 917-583-4797.
