The General Election will be held on Tuesday, 11/7. Polls will be open from 6:00am until 8:00pm. Please bring your sample ballot for an easier check-in process. Click here to find your voting location.

Early Voting runs until 11/5. Click here to see the list of all nine early voting locations throughout Bergen County. The closest locations for Waldwick residents are Wyckoff, Larkin House Senior Center, 380 Godwin Ave. and Paramus, Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road.

Vote By Mail Voters can access the Ballot Drop Box located behind the Public Safety Building, 15 E. Prospect Ave. which can be accessed using the Library driveway.

11/2/23 EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

LABORER 1 - The Borough of Waldwick is accepting applications for one (1) Full Time Laborer 1 in the Department of Public Works. A full job description can be found at, https://info.csc.state.nj.us/jobspec/02248.htm, or from the Borough Administrator. Interested candidates are required to complete the employment application found at www.waldwicknj.org, and submit to Steven Neale, Borough Administrator, 63 Franklin Turnpike, Waldwick, NJ 07463, or by emailing [email protected]. EOE. The application period closes on 11/22/23. The starting salary is $38,570.

Work hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, M-F, 40 hour work week. Must be available for alternating Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm OT and to be on call for emergencies. CDL preferred, or must be obtained within 1 year of employment.

Bulk Collection:

Next pickup is 11/16. In order to streamline the process of scheduling Bulk pickup, please use our online form HERE.  The Clerk’s office must receive your request by 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10 in order to be included.  If you are having trouble with this form, contact the Clerk’s office at (201) 652-5300 x238. 

If you are moving or cleaning out your attic, basement, garage or shed, you must make arrangements with a private hauler.  Construction or renovation materials are strictly prohibited.  It is the homeowner’s responsibility to contract with a private hauler or their contractor for the removal of demolition/construction or renovation materials. 

Residents are permitted a maximum of two (2) bulk items, limited to household furniture, including couches, dressers, mattresses, etc. to be placed curbside on the third Thursday of each month once scheduled by using this form.  NO METAL ITEMS.  Item(s) must be curbside by 6:00 am on day of pickup or put curbside no sooner than the day before pickup.


Be Aware:

Please Note: We have received multiple reports of contractors who are operating without permits and without calling for proper mark outs before starting construction. This is dangerous and illegal. Please be aware that these same contractors are asking for full cash payment up front. This is not advised so if you receive this type of solicitation or see this happening, please contact the Borough at 201-652-5300.

Curbside Leaf Collection Info:



Leaf Collection started on 10/26 and gets picked up by voting district. You can find the list of districts by street HERE.

Residents should rake leaves into the street or place bagged leaves in brown biodegradable paper bags curbside ONE DAY PRIOR to their scheduled pickup dates listed.

*Leaves in plastic bags will not be collected.
*Leaves shall not be placed within 10 feet of any storm drain inlet.

Please note that there may be variations in the schedule due to weather conditions/emergencies.

The weekly grass, brush and branch collection ended the week of 10/9 so any yard waste can be brought to the Recycling Center, 19 Industrial Park during normal business hours
(Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm) or residents can hold it and add it to their leaf pile for collection on their designated pickup day.

Residents are reminded to be mindful about blowing leaves onto their neighbors' property and we ask that you please notify your landscaper of the same if you have one. Also, please remove all basketball hoops from the street.
