Arrest Made in August 2023 Homicide Case
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested Marco LeivaSaucedo in connection with the homicide of Johnathan Carballo, which occurred on August 28th, 2023, in the 2300 block of International Boulevard.
Thanks to the tireless and collaborative efforts of OPD officers assigned to the Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC), Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC), and OPD Homicide Investigators, LeivaSaucedo was safely taken into custody on October 11, 2023.
The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has filed charges against LeivaSaucedo for his involvement in the crime.
Background:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred on August 28, 2023, just after 4:45 PM. Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of International Boulevard to investigate a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical units arrived on scene and pronounced one of the victims deceased. The second victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
