A controlled burn along Big Rock Ridge in northern Marin is expected to release smoke that will be in full view 10:00am to 5:00pm. Marin County Fire Department asks the community to refrain from calling 9-1-1 if they see smoke from the burn area.
The 100+ acre operation is a fire fuel reduction effort to assist with mitigating future fire risk. Fire agencies take extra precautions by checking the weather hourly along with coordinating with the National Weather Service.

Un incendio controlado a lo largo de Big Rock Ridge en el norte de Marin es esperado emitir humo que estará a la vista desde las 10:00am hasta las 5:00pm. El Departamento de Bomberos del Condado de Marin pide a la comunidad el favor de no llamar al 911 si ven humo en la zona indicada.
La operación de mas de 100 acres es un esfuerzo de reducción de combustible para ayudar a mitigar el riesgo de incendios en el futuro. Los bomberos tomaran precauciones adicionales verificando el tiempo cada hora junto con la coordinación del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional.
