Early voting ends on Sunday; Harvest Festival is today; Recognize Bill Johnson; Attend RBD meeting 

Early voting ends tomorrow, Nov. 5. 

In-person early voting for the General Election ends on Sunday Nov. 5. at 6 p.m. Registered voters can cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, prior to Election Day, Nov. 7.  

Hoboken City Hall's first-floor conference room is the City's early voting location. The voting location will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Voters should enter City Hall on Newark Street.  

Residents can also cast their ballot at their registered polling place on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.   

Please note, a resident’s polling location may have changed.

Vote-By-Mail 

There are three ways voters can submit their completed VBM ballot: 

  1. Voters can return their VBM ballot by placing it in the nearest mailbox using the U.S. Postal Service. The ballot must be postmarked on or before Nov. 7 and received by the Hudson County Board of Elections.
  2. There are also three secure ballot drop box locations in Hoboken where voters can drop off their VBM ballot; one at Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington St. on Newark Street, one at the Stevens University Gateway Building at Hudson Street and Sixth Street, and a new drop box has been added on Monroe Street between Seventh and Eighth Streets. Voters must submit their VBM ballot in a secure drop box on or before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
  3. Voters can also return their mail-in ballot in person to the Hudson County Board of Elections Office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The Hudson County Board of Elections Office is located at Hudson County Plaza, 257 Cornelison Avenue, 4th Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07302. NOTE: VBM ballots CANNOT be returned to ANY early voting location or polling place.

Hoboken Harvest Festival & Artisan Craft Market is Today!  

The  Hoboken Harvest Festival & Artisan Craft Market, made possible through a partnership with the Hoboken Business Alliance, is today, Nov. 4 

The family-friendly festival will take place at Pier A Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include an array of free activities specially tailored for Hoboken's youth such as a trackless train, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, hay maze, pony rides, inflatables, horse and carriage rides, live music performances, craft activities, face painting, balloon art, obstacle course, athletic games, bubbles, and much more. 

The artisan craft fair and market will take place along the waterfront walkway from First Street to Fourth Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Local artisans and crafters will display and sell their work including one-of-a-kind paintings, art prints, handcrafted jewelry, leather belts and bags, soaps, scrubs and other body products, candles, photographic prints and coasters, wooden vertical plant stands, resin and acrylic boards, trays, clocks and other home décor items, and much more. 

Attend Hudson County plaque unveiling for Bill Johnson 

Hudson County will host a plaque unveiling and dedication in recognition of Bill Johnson, former resident and tennis mentor, on Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at Columbus Park Tennis Courts. All are welcome to attend. 

NJDEP to host community meeting on Rebuild by Design construction 

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection will host a virtual community outreach meeting to discuss the Rebuild by Design Hudson River coastal flood risk reduction project, which is beginning the construction phase for the "Resist" component in Hoboken, as well as portions of Weehawken and Jersey City. The meeting will take place via Zoom beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, and will be available to the public via the following platforms:  

The meeting will include a presentation on the planned construction of the Resist Alignment flood risk reduction system and Harborside Park Improvements. Topics will include the project overview, work previously completed, and upcoming construction activities and impacts to the community during this phase.
