TRAFFIC ALERT - ROADWAY CLOSED - PG & E Gas Line Break - Avoid Area of 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Detours in Place. (2:30pm)
Construction crews broke a PG & E gas line in the middle of the road. As a precaution the roadways have been closed so the repairs can be made safely.
Traffic detoured at the following locations:
Mt. Diablo at Risa Road traffic turned back west bound.
Mt. Diablo at Happy Valley Road traffic turned back to east bound.
Limited traffic is being let through to Residences and Businesses.
Unknown how long it will take to repair the roadway and safely route traffic back through this area. They are looking at approximately another hour of the road closure to complete the repairs.
