Update - JCP&L Power Outage in Monroe Twp. (4:45pm) 
Please be advised that at approximately 1:30pm this afternoon Monroe Twp. OEM was informed by JCP&L officials that the power has been restored to all township residences and that the power surge situation from late morning had been resolved.
At approximately 3:00pm Monroe Twp. Police Department & OEM started to receive reports that there were again numerous residences without power in the Clearbrook & Encore Adult Communities and some residences in the surrounding area of Applegarth Rd. & Prospect Plains Rd.
The Township contacted JCP&L immediately and informed them that there were residents without power even though their online system was showing full power.
JCP&L is back on location in Monroe Twp. and are assessing the situation. As of 4:45pm JCP&L is showing 683 residences in our Township without power. As soon as we get updates from JCP&L we will pass them along to the residents.
