INCIDENT: VC 10851: VEHICLE THEFT
LOCATION: 20900 Block of Willow Springs Ave., Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Joseph Myers, 30 years-old, resident of Phelan
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 3, 2023, deputies responded to a 911 call in the 20900 block of Willow Springs Ave. in Apple Valley. According to the victim, her Ford F350 was warming in her front yard when the suspect drove away in her vehicle.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Aviation Division (40K) responded and located the vehicle traveling on National Trails Hwy. The suspect, later identified as Joseph Myers, went off road and the vehicle became disabled on a 35-degree goat trail. With the help of 40K, Deputies J. Lee and T. Bohannon were directed in and were able to take Myers into custody.
Joseph Myers was booked at High Desert Detention Center for vehicle theft and outstanding felony warrants. He is currently being held in lieu of $90,000.00 bail.
