On Sunday, November 5, 2023 at approximately 2330 hours, the Readington Township Police checked on a vehicle at Bohems Golf Center. Police observed the driver Tyrone Morton (46) out of Asbury Park, NJ attempt to start the vehicle several times but was unable to. Morton had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath and failed the officers field sobriety tests. Morton was charged with DWI and issued a motor vehicle summons for DWI, Reckless Driving and Possession of an Open Container in a Motor Vehicle. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law.
