Multi-Agency Operation Phoenix Arrests Nine Human Traffickers, Rescues 18 Victims. SCPD's Community Response Team (CRT) played an active role in this operation, with the assistance of our Special Enforcement Team (SET). As a result of this operation, a total of 9 suspects associated with this human trafficking network have been apprehended and were processed through the SCPD Temporary Holding Facility, and, most importantly, 18 victims were successfully rescued. These survivors have been connected with vital services and resources, thanks to dedicated advocates.
We take immense pride in the hard work and dedication of our CRT and SET members and express our deep gratitude to our Jail Service Officers and all our county partners who put tremendous effort into this operation.
