* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt is possible.
* WHERE...Anchorage Bowl. This includes the cities of Anchorage, Eagle River, Indian, And Eklutna.
* WHEN...From Wednesday evening through Thursday evening.
* IMPACTS...Snow Wednesday will likely change to rain by Wednesday evening with 0.5" to 1.0" of rain possible. Rain on top of snow will lead to ponding of water on area of roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rain may fall on the existing snowpack leading to increased runoff. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach impactful levels. - Http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood - Storm drains should be kept clear of debris as much as possible.
