INCIDENT: Felony Failure to Yield to Police Officer
LOCATION: 17900 block of Pebble Beach
SUSPECT(S): David Archuletta, a 47-year-old male from Riverside, California
SUMMARY:
On November 1, 2023, at about 12:40 AM, deputies observed a Toyota sedan speeding and swerving between lanes while traveling north on Mariposa Road. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to yield. Deputies pursued the vehicle for about five miles.
The driver committed several traffic violations during the pursuit and deputies performed a pursuit intervention technique to bring the vehicle to a stop for the safety of the public. David Archuletta was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was arrested for failing to yield and driving under the influence. Archuletta was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center.
