* WHAT...Wintery mix of precipitation today. Heavy Rain on snow and ice tonight and Thursday morning.
* WHERE...Anchorage.
* WHEN...Until noon AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be hazardous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The main hazard is expected to be when snow transitions to rain this evening. The rain could be heavy overnight causing very slick roads with rain on ice as well as ponding of water. There is a chance the precipitation type remains mostly snow which would result in a heavy snowfall, but it looks more likely rain will be the predominant precipitation type tonight into Thursday.
