Activity for November 8, 2023:
- Officer Debczak responded to the Courthouse for a warrant pick-up. A 30-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
- Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Williams Street for a domestic dispute. A 44-year-old male was arrested for domestic assault, 2nd offense.
- Officer Debczak conducted a traffic stop near Brown Street and West Michigan Avenue. The 28-year-old male driver was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and felon in possession of a firearm. The 28-year-old male passenger received a citation for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
- Officer Elston responded to Woodsum Street and Rockwell Street for a hit and run accident. A suspect has been identified; the investigation is ongoing.
- Officer Panther was dispatched to the Jackson Crossing Mall for a subject shoplifting. A 53-year-old male was arrested for conditional bond violation. Charges will be sought on a 49-year-old female for possession of narcotics and retail fraud.
- Officers visited several schools during the day.
- Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 900 block of Orchard Place. A 44-year-old male was arrested for aggravated domestic assault.
- Sergeant Thoresen conducted traffic stop near Oakhill Avenue and Steward Avenue. The vehicle had been reported stolen with Calhoun County in 2019. The vehicle was impounded at their department’s request.
- Officers were dispatched to an overdose in the 1000 block of Williams Street. A 20-year-old female was transported to the hospital.
- Officer Brooker conducted a property security check in the 700 block of West Michigan Avenue.
