Advisory

Changes to Borough Services.

Due to the upcoming New Years Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.
 
Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Monday, January 1, 2024. The entire town will be collected on Tuesday, January 2nd.
 
Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, January 1st. Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect.
 
Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Monday, January 1st. Services will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd.
 
Road Closures – There are no planned road closures at this time.
 
Borough Hall – The Borough Hall offices will be closed on Monday, January 1st and will reopen Tuesday, January 2nd. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
 
Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually only, there are NO in person court sessions. The court offices are open to assist those who have business with the court.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed during court sessions in order to enable the staff to have the ability to assist those scheduled. However, the office will be closed on Monday, January 1st and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd.
 
Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 1st and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2nd. Hours for the Library are 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday; 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays; and 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays.
 
The annual Reorganization Meeting of the Borough of Carlstadt Mayor and Council will take place on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall located at 500 Madison Street. All residents are invited to attend.
