SUMMARY: On Tuesday, November 2, 2023, deputies from the Fontana Station served a search warrant, in partnership
with the California Cannabis Control Agency, at the location due to illegal activity involving illegal possession and sales of cannabis. Multiple narcotics and cash were taken as evidence as a result of the search warrant.
The building in the middle of a tire shop used to sell cannabis was red tagged, condemned, secured and posted by the County of San
Bernardino.
Six days later, on November 8, 2023, deputies observed subjects entering the condemned building and conducted a business
check. Deputies discovered multiple subjects inside the same building involved in selling and possessing cannabis without permits or authorization to be inside the building.
Deputies detained all subjects and authored another search warrant to
recover narcotics and money gained from the illegal sale of cannabis.
At the conclusion of the investigation, a large amount of cannabis, wax, hash gummies, psilocybin mushroom gummies, THC vapes, pre-packaged cannabis bags, miscellaneous narcotic paraphernalia, and cash were recovered. Deputies arrested four suspects, identified as Miguel Melgoza, Aris Mehrparvar, Joslyn Givens and Xandriah Jefferson.
The building was red tagged, condemned, secured and posted once again.
Deputies will continue to conduct proactive patrols in the area and will arrest subjects who disobey the posted warnings. Business owners and residents in the community expressed appreciation for taking this proactive approach. They have noticed a great reduction in vehicle, foot traffic and drug related crimes since the shop has been shut down.
