Twin Peaks Deputies Arrest Armed Man While Responding to a Complaint of Criminal Threats

SUSPECT(S): Brandon Byrd, a 40-year-old Resident of Crestline
VICTIM(S): Confidential Victims
SUMMARY: On Friday, November 10, 2023, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station responded to a report of criminal threats made against employees at a Crestline bar by Brandon Byrd.
Byrd was a patron at the business and was refused service due to his level of intoxication. As Byrd was escorted off the premises, he threatened to return and shoot employees. During the investigation, deputies located Byrd who was armed with a loaded shotgun, as he walked from his residence back to the business. Byrd threw the firearm then fled back to his residence where he was apprehended.
Byrd was booked in at the Central Detention Center and charged with criminal threats, in leiu of $150,000 bail.
