Starting on November 14th and extending to November 17th the Water & Sewer Department will be conducting sewer line testing in the following areas:

November 14th 
1200 block of East Main Street
1200 block of East Walnut
1200 block of East Maple
1200 block of East Oak
1200 block of East Ash
1200 and 1300 block of East Moses

November 15th 
1200 and 1300 block of East Broadway
1200 and 1300 block of East Second
1200 and 1300 block of East Third
1200 and 1200 block of East Fourth 
1200 block of East Fifth 
1200 and 1300 block of East Sixth
200 through 600 block of South Michigan

November 16th 
600 through 900 block of South Michigan 
1200 block of East Eight Pl.
1200 block of East Eight St.
1300 block of East Ninth

This testing consist of a Sanitary Sewer Smoke Test. The purpose of the smoke test is to locate breaks, defects and plumbing faults in the sewer system. During the smoke test you make see smoke coming from building vent stacks, holes in the ground, or other locations. Do not be alarmed and do not call the police or the fire department unless you are sure there is a true emergency. 
Smoke should not enter your homes during the test unless you have defective plumbing or dry drain traps.
The SMOKE is non-toxic, white/gray in color, leaves not residue, and does not pose a fire hazard.
City crews will be handing door placards on the affected area with more information.  
The dates provided on the affected addresses are an estimate and could be extended due to unforeseen issues.
