Fleeing Suspect Arrested After Chevrolet Disables Vehicle
On 11-14-23 around 12:00 p.m. Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit Officers (SCU) were notified of a possible stolen vehicle driven by Timothy Pryor. Timothy had an active felony warrant through Probation and Parole and was also wanted for Fleeing an Officer from a pursuit that occurred on 11-10-23. The vehicle was equipped with GPS monitoring so SCU Officers were able to covertly follow the vehicle waiting for an opportune time to arrest Pryor. One such attempt was made, but Pryor was able to get in the vehicle and flee. A pursuit was initiated, but it was quickly terminated.
After the pursuit Pryor left the city and SCU Officers were assisted with surveillance by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU). SCU and SIU covertly followed the vehicle until the vehicle was able to be turned off remotely by the Chevrolet Application. The vehicle was shut down east of Indianford on Hwy M and Pryor was taken into custody without incident.
Pryor was arrested for 2 counts Fleeing an Officer, Obstructing, Trespass to Land and a warrant through Probation and Parole. Pryor was held at the Rock County Jail pending his initial appearance.
