INCIDENT: Robbery, Possession of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: The Home Depot Located at 15655 Block of Roy Rogers Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Yassin Yousif, 31-year-old Male Resident of Victorville
Joel Rodriguez, 32-year-old Male Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Confidential Adult Male
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a robbery at The Home Depot on Roy Rogers Drive. The suspect, later identified as Yassin Yousif, punched a loss prevention agent in the face when Yousif was contacted while trying to leave with a cart full of unpaid for merchandise. Yousif fled on foot and got into a white Chevy Impala parked nearby.
Deputies located the vehicle and detained Yousif and the driver, later identified as Joel Rodriguez. Yousif was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for robbery, and outstanding misdemeanor warrants for driving on a suspended license and DUI offenses. Yousif’s total bail is $100,000. Rodriguez was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and was cite-released.
