On Wednesday, November 15, 2023 Meridian Police arrested sixty-three (63) year old Carlos ALEXANDRE of Meridian for one (1) count felony, Malicious Harassment and one (1) count felony, Property-Malicious Injury to Property.
Since October 16, 2023, Meridian Officers have been dispatched to four (4) separate reports of vandalism to vehicles along with harassment notes being left, due to the victim’s Latin origin. All dispatched calls were on the 2000 block of S. Luxury Lane. Upon further investigation, with the assistance of the local community, Meridian Officers identified the suspect as ALEXANDRE.
ALEXANDRE was arrested and transported to the Ada County Jail for the above, mentioned charges.
“I want to be clear, this type of behavior is not a reflection of the values we hold dear as a community and is not tolerated,” said Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea. “We condemn any act motivated by bias, prejudice, or hatred and will continue to actively promote a culture of inclusivity and understanding.”

Meridian Man Charged with Malicious Harassment
