Narrative:
Two men who were in custody for grand theft, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy to commit a crime have been arrested for two additional counts of grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
 
Between the dates of October 27, 2023, and November 2, 2023, there were nine reported catalytic converter thefts in and around the City of Ojai.
 
On November 2, 2023, two men from Los Angeles were arrested in relation to a catalytic converter theft.  A Media Release was completed, and a significant community response was received.
 
During the subsequent investigation, detectives received additional information and video surveillance from members of the community who responded to the Media Release.  As a result, additional charges in relation to the theft of catalytic converters were filed against the two men.
 
The Ojai Detective Bureau would like to thank those members of the community who reached out with additional information and evidence.
