Lt. Chris Taylor with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 38-year-old Justin Matthew Adkins of Old Fort with felonious Possession of Methamphetamine. Adkins was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
Lt. Taylor also charged 32-year-old Jacob Michael East of Waynesville with felonious Possession of Marijuana. East was issued a $5,000 secured bond.
On November 7th, detectives responded to a residence in Old Fort to assist Community Supervision Officers with a search of Adkins residence. The search turned up methamphetamine. East was found hiding in a closet of the residence with a large amount of marijuana.
