Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of November 6-12, 2023
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There were no robberies during the past week.
Residential Burglaries
There was one residential burglary during the past week.
On Monday, 11-06-23, between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., a residence on the unit block of Highland Avenue was a victim of burglary via rear window pry. The suspects took $850 in jewelry, a $600 pair of shoes, $500 cash, passports, and a gun valued at $3,500. The suspect vehicle is a white Chevrolet Camaro with black rims. This investigation is continuing.
Commercial Burglaries
There were no commercial burglaries during the past week.
Vehicle Burglaries
There were three vehicle burglaries during the past week.
- Parking lot of CVS on Gellert Boulevard—a black bag containing ID, checkbook, credit cards, and iPhone 12 was taken from a 2019 Toyota Camry. The front passenger window was smashed. Occurred on 11-06-23 between 10:00 a.m. and 10:20 a.m.
- Unit block of Southridge Way—two ProTeam backpack vacuums, a DeWalt gas-powered pressure washer, and an Apple MacBook were taken from a 2022 Ford Transit Connect. Unknown method of entry. Occurred on 11-10-23 at approximately 6:36 a.m. The suspect vehicle is a black or dark blue 2001-2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with a black roof rack, suspension lift, off-road tires, black rims, and possibly a tan toolbox in the bed. The suspect was described as a male with black hair and maybe in a ponytail, wearing a blue sweater and tan pants.
- Lake Vista Avenue and Fieldcrest Drive—unknown if anything was taken from a 2021 Kia Soul. The rear passenger window was shattered. Occurred on 11-11-23 at approximately 8:04 p.m.
Stolen Vehicles
There were six stolen vehicles during the past week. Three vehicles were recovered.
- Hillside Boulevard and Gambetta Street—a 1986 Toyota SR5. Occurred on 11-06-23 between midnight and 7:30 a.m. **Recovered by DCPD in San Francisco on 11-07-23.
- Unit block of Berta Circle—a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche. Occurred on 11-07-23 at approximately 2:25 a.m.
- Unit block of Park Manor Drive—a 2004 Honda Odyssey. Occurred between 6:00 p.m. on 11-10-23 and 7:00 p.m. on 11-11-23.
- 600 block of Sylvan Street—a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado. Occurred between 10:30 p.m. on 11-11-23 and 1:00 a.m. on 11-12-23. **Recovered by DCPD on 11-12-23.
- 1000 block of Schwerin Street—a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban. Occurred between 10:30 p.m. on 11-11-23 and 6:20 a.m. on 11-12-23. **Recovered by East Bay Regional Park PD on 11-13-23.
- Unit block of Liebig Street—a 2000 SPCNS Utility Trailer. Occurred between 11:00 p.m. on 11-11-23 and 2:30 p.m. on 11-12-23.
Miscellaneous
- There were 146 cases taken.
- There were 16 domestic disturbance cases reported.
- There were 8 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.
- There were 5 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.
- There were 2 cases for public intoxication.
- There were 6 hit-and-run collisions reported.
- There were 20 narcotics-related cases taken.
