On Friday, November 17, 2023 at approximately 1:51 p.m., the Newport Beach Police Department received numerous 911 calls regarding a traffic collision involving a single motorcycle in the area of West Coast Hwy and 61st Street. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the motorcycle rider down on the roadway with significant injuries. The adult motorcyclist was transported to a local trauma center where she continues to receive medical care.
The cause and circumstances of the collision are still under investigation. The Newport Beach Police Department is seeking help from witnesses to the collision or anyone who can assist with additional information about the incident.
