Meet Our Newest Officers in the GTPD Community Relations Bureau!

Meet our newest additions to the Gloucester Township Police Community Relations Bureau- Lt. Paul Fisher and Cpl. John McHugh! (center and right)

There have been several changes within our police department in 2023 following retirements, promotions, and transfers which brought Ptl. Charles Ohrenich (left) to the Community Relations Bureau in January, 2023, and now brings us Lt. Fisher and Cpl. McHugh in November, 2023!

- Ptl. Charles Ohrenich is a life long Gloucester Township resident who began serving his community by volunteered at Gloucester Township Fire District 6. He worked as a SLEO II at Cape May Police Department, worked as a Corrections Officer at the New Jersey Department of Corrections, and then was hired as a full time Police Officer here at Gloucester Township Police in 2014.

- Lt. Paul Fisher began his career at Gloucester Township Police in 2003 as a Police Telecommunicator/ 911 Dispatcher and a Special Law Enforcement Officer Class 1. Lt. Fisher was hired as a Gloucester Township Police Officer in 2006. During his time as a Patrolman he served in the Patrol Division as a Bicycle Officer, Shift Investigator, Incident Management Team/ Command Truck Operator, and was a member of the Civil Disturbance Team. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2015 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2022.

- Cpl. John McHugh started his law enforcement career in 2002 as a Corrections Officer in the County of Camden, and was hired by Gloucester Township Police Department in 2004. He served as a School Resource Officer from 2013 to 2022, and was one of the lead instructors for the Gloucester Township Police Junior Police Academy.
