We’re continuing to receive reports from community members about phone scammers impersonating police personnel. In some cases, scammers will spoof the exact number of a public safety department to disguise their identity and attempt to extort money from people by claiming there is an active warrant for their arrest.
As a reminder, Santa Clara PD will never ask you for payment or money over the phone. If you receive one of these phone calls, please hang up immediately and call the department directly at 408-615-4700.
